Dear colleagues,

After the success of the Young Peterson Control Union event last September in Rotterdam, we as the Global Sustainability and Supply Chain trainees are organising the #4All Event on the 2nd January 2018. The 4ALL event is designed to allow Peterson and Control Union employees to get together and share ideas about a designated subject that could have an impact on our company’s future. This year, we have chosen the Blockchain Technology as the main topic.

When people think about Blockchain, the first application that comes to everyone’s mind is crypto-currencies due to their mediatisation, but the technology could be applied to many other sectors of activities such as logistics, finance, supply chain, certification and many others. 

The Blockchain technology is still misunderstood by many of us and the field of application are infinite.

Through your participation to the event, we will offer you a way to share your ideas about the applications of the technology, ask questions and collaborate with colleagues on the topic of Blockchain in our industry.

The event will take in form of a workshop, led by Martijn Siebrand (founder of Chain Vision), who will give us an introduction to Blockchain technology, conduct a discussion and run a business game where we will be separated into small groups to observe and discuss together to see the application of Blockchain technology to our company’s various business activities.
